I have lovely memories of Eleanor. I can still see her and Merle as Grand Marshall of the Sesquicentennial Parade proudly waving to the crowds on Main Street.

I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. She was a wonderful lady. Always kind, cheerful and willing to lend a helping hand. She was a dear friend and good neighbor to my mother. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May you find comfort in the memories.

We are so sad to hear of Eleanor's passing. We just saw her a week ago in Wagner, So. Dak. at the Uecker family reunion and she told me a lot of family history we did not know. She was looking forward to next years 90th reunion as she would be 90 years old then. I feel so blessed to have shared time with her on that day.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Eleanor.
I remember 27 years ago I was at my first ESA convention. Eleanor was so excited about ESA and welcomed me with open arms. She talked about the wonderful sisters in her chapter and the ones she had made throughout the years. She talked about the projects, her community, family, and what a great organization ESA was.
I will miss her seeing her at those State Conventions.
Sheba

Hello Joyce,
Hello Merle,
Today I wanted to attend the ceremony for Eleanor as she was the first person to welcome me to Vermillion and to ESA. Over time we met at the doctors' office and at Dairy Queen where she showed me how to open the salad container. Always, there were sparkling eyes and big smiles. This morning I was poorly, and so remained in bed until my daughter arrived. Getting old is no picnic. I'm grateful to have had a friend like Eleanor. My prayers are with you. Barbara Blumenthal

Our deepest sympathy to the family of Eleanor. You are in our many thoughts and prayers. My Mom just passed away on February 2, and there is an empty spot in our hearts, but we know she is in a much better place. May your faith give you strength in knowing that you will see her again!
God bless!

To Eleanor's family:
We were enroute to family reunion in Wisconsin when we received a phone call telling us of Eleanor's death. We were so sorry to hear the sad news. She was such a vibrant spirit that it seems impossible to think of her as gone. Of course, her spirit will go on in the loving memories and stories we all have of her. She was a terrific woman. She was our DKG sister. Chris and Joan

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. She has been a busy woman as long as I have known her and know she will be missed by many. I hope it brings you some comfort that she did live her life how she wanted and she wouldn't have been happy with the lack of quality. She was very lucky to have the support from her family. She was a lucky woman.
