Name: Christina Mary Bell Dates: Birth date: May 06, 1911 Death date: July 28, 2010 Obituary: Christina M. Bell, 99, of Vermillion, formerly of Burbank passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Sanford Vermillion Care Center.
Christina was born on May 6, 1911 in Herscher, IL to Jim and Eva (St. Onge) Nielson. She moved to South Dakota in 1916 and attended school in the Dowling District. She married Tom Bell on December 29, 1927 in Sioux City, IA and spent most of their married life in Burbank, SD. She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Vermillion. Tom passed away on August 3, 1976.
Christina is survived by her son Robert (Barbara) Bell of Livermore, CA; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; and cousin Beatrice Montagne.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Thomas Bell; daughter Lavonne Kutz; sons Richard Bell and James Bell; grandsons David Bell and Perry Bell; and sister Stella Girard. Service: Funeral service will be on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Vermillion with a visitation one hour prior with Pastor Elmer "Sandy" Aakre officiating. Cemetery: Burial is at Bluff View Cemetery in Vermillion. |
