Name: Rose Valeria Kroeger Dates: Birth date: December 17, 1923 Death date: January 17, 2010 Obituary: Rose Valeria Kroeger, 86, of Elk Point, SD, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Prairie Estates Care Center in Elk Point. Valeria, as she was known, as born on December 17, 1923 to Arthur and Mabel (Pennel) Limoges. She attended Montagne and Allard Schools growing up. She married Clarence Kroeger on February 6, 1954 in Elk Point. She spent her life as a home maker and loved cooking and gardening. She was a member of United Parish Church in Elk Point. SHe was also a member of the Rebekahs, Eastern Star, and the Rachel Circle. She is survived by her husband Clarence, of Elk Point; her daughter Nancy (Charles) Merchant of Sioux City, IA; her sons Bruce Kroeger and David Kroeger, both of Elk Point; granddaughters Lisa )Mohamed) Ali of Ames, IA, and Stacy (Christopher) Vogt of Sioux City, IA; and great-grandchildren, Kira, Aleena and Rami Ali; and Carter and Joslyn Vogt. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Florence Rosenbaum, and brother Roland Limoges. Visitation: Visitation will be held from 5 - 7 pm on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Anderson-Siecke-Kober Funeral Home in Elk Point, with the family present from 6 - 7 pm. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Service: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, January 21, 2010 at United Parish Church in Elk Point, with Rev. David Bambas officiating. Cemetery: Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. |
